Here are a few pictures of Lyssie Lou we got this afternoon. Isn't she beautiful? Course I can't take credit for that, but the pictures were taken by little old me. Think of what I could do with a REAL camera.

So since I was gone for Lyssie Lou's birthday I thought I would post some cute...(no...they are really more adorable) pictures of her and publically wish her a Happy 12th Birthday. Sweet girl...this world and my life would feel incomplete without your fun loving, outgoing, funny and sweet personality.

Lyssie Lou is growing up!

My heart is full...but it still aches

Last night we were lucky enough to attend a BBQ filled with some of my favortie people. Local adopters and some good out of town friends. I will post the pictures and stories later, but I snapped one photo that touched our hearts and here it is.

Someday soon Lyssie Lou, it won't be a dream any more and it will

be your sister you will be holding.

Updates from Camp Hiawatha...

Just kidding, the camp isn't really named Hiawatha...in fact I don't know the name of the camp. I just know where it is. Anyhoo, Scott was up at the camp for a day and overnight to help oversee some of those giggly girls and he got some great photos. Here are a few:

Little Miss Sunshine....

Finally...what you have all been waiting for (right? not...snort). Lyssa Lou is finally outfitted for the PIONEER TREK. I don't think I could knock that silly grin off her face if I tried. That's what it's all about right? I see all the mistakes and ugly sewing...SHE sees a masterpiece. Just seeing that smile on her face makes it ALL worth it. Some pics of the modeling...

Those of you who follow this blog might remember the post of Lyssa Lou's bonnett that I sewed for Pioneer Trek. Well, two dresses and an almost finished apron are now done and I will post the lovely pictures of the masterpiece when my camera returns home to me. Yay!!!!

I will tell you all that not all her answers are actually correct...but we sure had fun talking!!

1. Correct - I do tell her I love her.

2. Correct - I do luv when I don't have to do the dishes.

3. Correct, her not telling me the truth is one thing that makes me sad.

4. Correct I think. When I'm silly with her it makes her laugh.

5. Correct, I had a sick mother as a child so being the oldest I took care of my younger sisters.

6. Correct age...for now.

7. A little off. I think I'm probably 5'5"

8. Incorrect...survi*vor is not my favorite t.v. show. I'm a little documentary nerd.

9. Incorrect...I do not have the time to sleep or cross-stich all day. I do, however, make dinner.

10. Incorrect, while I do enjoy swimming I'll never be famous for it. Hahahaha funny though!
